Medium bio
Joe Raphael is the founder of Aijency, the Sydney company behind Aijent, an AI sales agent that qualifies website visitors, books real meetings inside the conversation and updates the CRM. Setup needs no developer, and plans start from $99 a month with no contract.
Joe has spent more than 25 years in sales leadership, much of it opening new markets for US start-ups. He led sales in Australia and New Zealand for BlueJeans, ran Asia-Pacific for NationBuilder, and as Head of International at Revenue.io built the business from zero to US$5.1M ARR.
He started Aijency after watching two of the best-known AI sales agents, Qualified and Fin, get bought by Salesforce. Aijency is deliberately bootstrapped and CRM-neutral, with its pricing, roadmap and security status published openly.
Joe speaks about speed-to-lead, building international revenue from a standing start, and where AI agents genuinely help sales teams.
Long bio
Joe Raphael is the founder of Aijency, the Sydney company behind Aijent, an AI sales agent that qualifies website visitors, books real meetings inside the conversation and writes every lead, deal and transcript into HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive or Zoho CRM. Setup needs no developer, and plans start from $99 a month with no contract.
Joe has spent more than 25 years in sales leadership, most of it as the person a US start-up hires to open its first markets outside the US. After starting in enterprise sales at Telstra and Optus, he led sales in Australia and New Zealand for video conferencing company BlueJeans (later acquired by Verizon), then ran Asia-Pacific for NationBuilder. As Head of International at Revenue.io (formerly ringDNA), he built the company's international business from zero to US$5.1M ARR. He also works as a fractional sales leader and go-to-market advisor, and founded CANGRO, a Sydney HubSpot advisory firm.
Aijency grew out of a gap Joe saw in the market. Two of the best-known AI sales agents, Qualified and Fin, have been bought by Salesforce, and many are priced, contracted and set up for enterprise buyers. In Aijency's audit of 200 Australian B2B websites in October 2026, 92% made a ready buyer fill in a form and wait.
His answer was to build the independent alternative and fund it the slow way. Aijency launched in early 2026 with no outside investors. It publishes its prices, runs a public roadmap that shows declined features, names every sub-processor, and has completed a SOC 2 Type I audit. All customer data stays in Sydney.
