Limited access for your team
Give a teammate a login that answers visitors and reaches nothing else. Live chat only on Aijent; Conversations and live chat on Aijent Relay.
Besides Full access, the account owner can give a teammate a limited login that answers visitors and reaches nothing else: no Aijent settings, knowledge, connected accounts or billing. On Aijent it is called Live chat only and opens Live chats. On Aijent Relay it is called Conversations and live chat and opens your Conversations inbox too. It is on every plan. You set it on the Team card in Account Settings, and it uses a seat.
Some people on your team only need to talk to visitors: a receptionist, a sales assistant, someone covering the phones. A limited login gives them exactly that, and nothing they could change by accident.
The limited login on each plan
| Plans | It is called | What they can open |
|---|---|---|
| Starter, Growth and Pro | Live chat only | Live chats |
| Relay Starter and Relay Growth | Conversations and live chat | Conversations, plus Live chats when an Aijent uses Live Human Handover |
Whichever it is, the person:
- Uses a seat, like anyone else on your team.
- Cannot change your Aijent's settings, its knowledge, your connected accounts or anything else in the dashboard.
- Cannot see billing or close the account. Only the owner can do those.
Full access compared
| Full access | Limited login | |
|---|---|---|
| Answer visitors (Live chats, or the Conversations inbox on Relay) | Yes | Yes |
| Change your Aijents, knowledge and settings | Yes | No |
| Everything else in the dashboard | Yes | No |
| Billing and closing the account | No, owner only | No, owner only |
| Uses a seat | Yes | Yes |
On Aijent Relay, the Team card describes Full access as seeing conversations, actioning callbacks and leaving notes, and a Full access teammate can also open the rest of the dashboard.
Giving someone a limited login
Only the account owner can do this, on the Team card in Account Settings.
When inviting someone:
- Enter their full name and email.
- In the access menu next to them, choose the limited login for your plan.
- Click Invite.
They get an invitation email of their own, saying what they have been added to.
For someone already on your team:
- Open the access menu next to their name.
- Choose the limited login.
- Confirm with Change access.
It takes effect from their next click. They keep their seat and their login. You can give them Full access again the same way.
On Aijent: Live chat only
A Live chat only teammate:
- Sees Live chats and nothing else. Their menu has Live chats alone, and any other dashboard page sends them back to it.
- Can open every chat where a visitor asked for a person: waiting, in progress and the Closed list, whoever handled it. Never an ordinary conversation where nobody asked for a person.
- Hears the ring and can accept, and does everything else in answering live chats, including setting their own name in chats.
They cannot change which Aijents use Live Human Handover. If no Aijent is set to it, Live chats tells them so and asks them to speak to the account owner.
On Aijent Relay: Conversations
A limited teammate on Relay:
- Lands on Conversations, your conversations inbox. Any other dashboard page, apart from Live chats, sends them back to it.
- Works the inbox like anyone else: reads conversations, moves escalations through Awaiting, Follow-up and Done, and leaves notes, each recorded against their name.
- Also answers live chats from Live chats, once your Aijent is set to Live Human Handover.
They never see your Aijent's settings, its knowledge, your account settings or billing.
See your account for seats, inviting people and who the owner is.
