Choosing which pages your Aijent appears on
Show your Aijent only where you want it, rather than across your whole website.
Page rules let you show your Aijent only on certain pages of a website, using the Only show this Aijent on these pages field on the Installation tab. Leave it empty and your Aijent appears everywhere on that website. Put anything in it and your Aijent appears only on pages that match, and nowhere else. It is available on Growth, Pro and Aijent Relay.
By default your Aijent appears on every page of a website you have added. Often that is what you want.
Sometimes it is not. You may want it on your product pages but not your careers page, or on one campaign page and nowhere else. Page rules control that.
Where to set them
On the Installation tab, each website you have added has a field called Only show this Aijent on these pages (optional).
Leave it empty and your Aijent appears everywhere on that website. Put anything in it and your Aijent appears only on pages that match, and nowhere else.
Saving them
Select Save pages next to the website you are editing. The button turns green with a tick reading Saved for a few seconds, which is how you know the rules have landed. If anything goes wrong you get a red message beside the button instead, so a silent failure is not possible.
You can set up to 50 rules per website, each up to 200 characters. Blank entries are rejected rather than saved, because a blank rule would match every page and quietly undo the restriction you were setting.
When to use it
Keeping it off the wrong pages. These rarely benefit from a sales conversation, and every conversation there uses part of your monthly allowance:
- Careers
- Legal pages
- Long blog archives
Running two Aijents on one website. Only one Aijent can appear on a given page, so if you run a sales and a support Aijent on the same site, page rules are how you keep them apart.
Testing on one page first. A sensible way to go live: restrict it to a single page, watch real conversations for a few days, then open it up.
Focusing on high-intent pages. If your allowance is tight, spending it on pricing and product pages rather than your whole site is usually a better trade.
Getting the rules right
Rules match against the page address. Set them, then check the pages you expect it on, and the pages you expect it off, in a fresh private window.
Empty means everywhere, not nowhere
This trips people up. An empty field is not "no pages", it is "all pages". If you meant to restrict your Aijent and left it blank, it is running site-wide.
If your Aijent has disappeared
Page rules are one of the most common reasons an Aijent stops appearing where somebody expects it. If yours is missing, check this field before anything else: if something is in it, your Aijent is on those pages and nowhere else.

Websites and pages are different things
A website is added on the Installation tab and is what allows your Aijent to run there at all. Without it, nothing appears.
Page rules narrow it down within a website you have already added.
Adding a website is required. Page rules are optional.
