Adding documents
Upload price lists, terms and anything else your website does not say.
You can upload PDF, DOCX and TXT files up to 10 MB each on the Knowledge tab. Documents are usually the highest-value thing you can add, because they hold what your website deliberately does not say: full price lists, service details and terms. A scanned PDF will not work, because there is no readable text in it.
- On the Knowledge tab, use Add a document.
- Give it a Title you will recognise later.
- Choose your file. PDF, DOCX or TXT, up to 10 MB.
- Select Add to knowledge base.
Documents are usually the highest-value thing you can add, because they contain what your website deliberately does not say: full price lists, service details, terms, and the answers your team gives on the phone every day.
Scanned documents will not work
Your Aijent reads text, not pictures of text. A scanned PDF, or one exported as images, contains no readable text. It will upload successfully and show as ready, but your Aijent will have learned nothing from it. If your document came from a scanner or a photograph, convert it to text first.
Updating a document
There is no replace. To update one, remove it and upload the new version. See keeping it current.
