Your knowledge base

Your knowledge base

What your Aijent knows, and why it is the biggest lever on how good it is.

All plans

Your Aijent answers only from the knowledge you give it, so the quality of your knowledge base is the quality of your Aijent. It already holds your website, read during setup. You can add more web pages, upload documents, or import a product catalogue from your store. Your Aijent searches all of it and uses only the passages that answer the question, so adding more never makes it worse.

Your Aijent only answers from what you have given it. It does not draw on general knowledge about your industry, and it does not invent. That is deliberate, and it is what makes it safe to put in front of customers.

So the quality of your knowledge base is the quality of your Aijent.

What is in there already

Your website. During setup, your Aijent read your site and turned it into its starting knowledge, so it began knowing your business rather than nothing.

You can see everything it holds on the Knowledge tab of your Aijent, split into:

  • Web content, read from your website
  • Documents, uploaded by you

In this section

How your Aijent uses all this

You do not need to organise any of it. When a visitor asks something, your Aijent searches everything you have given it, picks the passages that actually answer that question, and uses those.

This means more knowledge does not slow it down or confuse it. Adding a long document is safe. It will simply be searched along with everything else.

It also means the fix for a poor answer is almost always to add the missing information, rather than to rewrite what is already there.

When your Aijent does not know

It says so, and offers to have someone follow up. It does not guess, and it does not fill the gap with something plausible.

That behaviour is not a limitation to work around. It is the reason you can put it in front of customers without checking every answer.

Your allowances

Every plan includes a number of documents and a monthly allowance of web pages. Both are shown live on the Knowledge tab, so you always know where you stand.

During a free trial both are lower than they will be on a paid plan. They lift automatically when your subscription starts.

The page allowance resets each billing period. Re-reading a page you have already read in the same period does not cost you again.
