How to refresh what your Aijent knows, and how to remove things.
Your Aijent does not re-read your website automatically. What it read is a snapshot from when you added it, so if your pricing or services change, it keeps answering from the old version until you update it. To refresh a website, delete the source and add it again. Product catalogues are the exception and can be refreshed on demand.
How long new content takes to be ready
Documents are usually ready within moments. Websites take longer, because your Aijent has to visit each page. The panel says so, and refreshes itself while it works.
You will see a status against everything you add:
- Queued or Crawling: in progress.
- Ready: read successfully.
- Paused: stopped because your monthly page allowance would be exceeded.
- Failed: something went wrong. The reason is shown underneath.
- No products: shown when nothing readable was found. Despite the wording, this also appears for an ordinary website your Aijent could not read, usually because the site blocks automated access. The message underneath explains which.
Refreshing what your Aijent knows
Your Aijent does not re-read your website automatically. What it read is a snapshot from when you added it. If you change your pricing, add a service or redesign your site, your Aijent will keep answering from the old version until you update it.
To refresh a website today, delete the source and add it again. That does use fresh page allowance, so it is worth batching changes rather than doing it weekly.
Documents work the same way: to update one, remove it and upload the new version.
Removing something
Deleting a document removes it from your Aijent immediately, along with everything it learned from it. Deleting a website also removes every page read from it, and you will be told how many before you confirm.
You can also remove a single page from a website you have added, which is useful when one page is out of date or irrelevant. That page will not come back.
