How your Aijent looks
The launcher, colour, logo and greeting, and how to make it feel like part of your site.
Your Aijent's colour, logo, greeting and position are all on the Appearance tab. One setting decides both where it sits and what it looks like: a slim tab on the right edge, or a rounded bar in the bottom corner. Upload a square PNG or WebP logo, 512 by 512 pixels or smaller, and set an accent colour dark enough for white text to sit on.
Everything here is on the Appearance tab of your Aijent. Changes are saved, then take effect on your website.
Where it sits on the page
One setting, Aijent position, decides both where it appears and what it looks like.
Right Edge is the default. A slim vertical tab flush against the right side of the screen, showing your logo above your Aijent's name reading downwards. It nudges outwards when someone hovers over it. Quiet, and it never sits on top of your content.
Bottom Right Corner is a rounded bar in the corner showing your logo and your Aijent's name side by side. More visible, and more familiar to most visitors.
If you are not sure, Bottom Right Corner is what most people expect and tends to get more conversations. Right Edge is the more understated choice.
Right Edge needs a logo more than the corner does
On the right edge, if you have not uploaded a logo, the tab shows your Aijent's name only, with no icon at all. In the corner, it falls back to a chat symbol. So if you choose Right Edge, upload a logo.
Colour
Accent colour sets the colour of your Aijent throughout: the launcher, the chat header, the visitor's own messages, the send button and links.
Put in your brand colour and it will look like part of your site rather than something bolted on.
Avoid pale colours
The text on the launcher and header is always white. A pale or pastel accent leaves white text on a pale background, which is very hard to read, and nothing will warn you. Choose a colour dark enough for white text to sit on comfortably, and check it on your live site rather than in the preview.
Your logo
Upload a PNG or WebP, square, 512 by 512 pixels or smaller, up to 500 KB.
Your logo appears in three places:
- The chat header
- Next to your Aijent's messages
- The launcher itself
Two things happen automatically. Any empty space around the edge of your image is trimmed, so your logo fills the space properly. And the shape is detected: a round mark is shown in a circle, anything with detail in the corners gets a rounded square so nothing is cut off. It is always placed on white, so a transparent logo stays visible against your accent colour.
You cannot choose the shape yourself. If your round logo appears in a square frame, it usually has faint marks near the corners. Re-export it with clean corners and upload again.
If you have not uploaded a logo, your Aijent's initials are shown inside the chat instead.
The greeting
Opening greeting is the first thing a visitor sees. Leave it blank and your Aijent introduces itself by name.
A good greeting is short, sounds like a person, and invites a specific question. "Hi, I'm Alex. Ask me anything about our pricing or availability" works harder than "How can I help you today?", because it tells the visitor what you are useful for.
Starter questions are up to three tappable questions shown under the greeting. They are worth setting up: many visitors will not type anything but will happily tap. Use the three questions you actually get asked most. They disappear as soon as the visitor says anything.
Someone who has chatted with you before sees "Welcome back! How can I help you today?" instead of your greeting. That is automatic and cannot be changed.
On phones
Your Aijent adapts on its own. Opening it fills the screen so the conversation is readable and typing is comfortable, and it adjusts as the on-screen keyboard appears. There is nothing to configure.
Getting your visitors' attention
Growth and Pro onlyTwo independent settings, under Aijent Behaviour. Both are optional, and you can use one, both or neither.
Draw attention makes the launcher noticeable without opening anything. Pulse is a soft glow, Wiggle is a brief shake. Both stop for good once someone opens the chat.
Worth knowing: the pulse runs a few times and then stops permanently, by design. If you come back to a page later and see a still launcher, it has not broken.
Open automatically starts the conversation for the visitor. You can choose any combination, and whichever happens first opens the chat:
- After a delay, once they have been on the page a set time.
- After scrolling, once they reach a chosen point down the page.
- On exit intent, when the cursor heads for the top of the screen as if leaving. Desktop only, since there is no cursor on a phone.
Why your delay may not seem to fire
"After a delay" is cancelled if the visitor scrolls, clicks or types first. That is deliberate: interrupting somebody who is already engaged is worse than waiting. When testing, stay still, or you will conclude it is broken.
Teaser message pops a small speech bubble from the launcher with a line of your choosing. Clicking it opens the chat. Keep it specific and useful rather than "Hi there".
Frequency controls how long these leave a visitor alone after they have engaged, so a returning customer is not pestered. It applies to automatic opening and the teaser, not to the pulse or wiggle. It is remembered in the visitor's own browser, so clearing data or switching browser resets it.

Putting your Aijent inside a page
Growth, Pro and Aijent Relay onlyInstead of floating in the corner, your Aijent can sit inside a page, already open, as part of the content. It works well on landing pages.

Sitting on top of the wrong thing
If your Aijent covers a sticky header or a cookie banner, or hides behind one, Stacking order on the Appearance tab controls which sits in front. Leave it blank and your Aijent sits above everything. Set a lower number and your own element wins.
Most people never need this.
Checking your work
The preview in your dashboard shows the conversation: your colour, logo, greeting and starter questions. Save your changes, then refresh the preview.
The preview does not show the launcher
Position, launcher style, the teaser, pulse, automatic opening and stacking order are not shown in the preview. It also shows your Aijent even when it is switched off. To see how it really looks, open your own website in a brand new private or incognito window.
