Setting up Aijent Relay

From signing up to a live Aijent answering visitors on your website.

Aijent Relay only

Setting up Aijent Relay is a three-question wizard followed by four steps in your dashboard. The wizard asks which website to learn from, what your Aijent should be called and how it should sound, and where escalations should go. The escalation email is required, because a question with nowhere to land is a lost customer.

Setup is a short wizard followed by four steps in your dashboard.

The wizard: three questions

1. Which website should your Aijent learn from? The moment you answer, your Aijent starts reading that website in the background and turns it into the knowledge it answers from. You do not upload anything or write out answers.

2. What should your Aijent be called, and how should it sound? Its name and whether it comes across as friendly, professional, direct or consultative.

3. Where should escalations go? An email address, and it is required. Without it, the questions your Aijent cannot answer would have nowhere to land.

Then four steps in your dashboard

Add more knowledge. Your website is a start, not the whole picture. The answers customers actually want are often not published anywhere. See your knowledge base.

Personalise your Aijent. Colour, logo, greeting and where it sits on the page. See how your Aijent looks.

Invite your team. Your plan includes three seats. See your team.

Install it on your website. Add your website, copy the code, paste it in. There is a guide for every major platform in installing on your website.

Check it is live

Open your website in a brand new private or incognito window, not the tab you have been working in, because browsers hold on to old copies of pages.

Say hello to your Aijent. Ask it something a real customer would ask, and check the answer came from your own content. Then ask it something it could not possibly know. It should say so and offer to get a person involved, rather than inventing something.

What to do in your first week

Read your conversations. Everything appears in your inbox, whether it escalated or not.

Watch what your Aijent could not answer. Every one of those is a gap you can close by adding to your knowledge.

Make sure escalations are landing somewhere watched, and consider connecting Slack so nothing waits in an inbox.
